Same girl- I've just been going in dark spaces in my mind recently. I don't like anything about myself. I'm not the most social person but I'm going to start trying. I'm skinny I guess but nothing's ever good enough and every time I say I'm not going to eat, I end up snacking or my other self convinces me to eat. Then I feel fat and angry at myself for giving in. It's like I'm always fighting with myself. I'm scared to get close to ppl because what if they think I'm annoying. Sorry for ranting

Everyone has demons and dark places that they fight on a continuous basis. But as long as you keep fighting, it will get easier. Life gets better.
You say that you don’t like anything about yourself. Well we should change that. Every day, look at yourself in the mirror and say one nice thing about yourself. Wether it’s if you like your hair, or you know your caring towards people Ect. Say at least one thing everyday. Write it on a post-it note and stick it on the mirror to remind yourself.

Being social is whatever your comfortable with. Having a certain number of people that you know and hang out with them probably won’t make you feel better. Do you have a best friend? 1 best friend is more important than having 20 friend your social with.

Try not to be too critical of yourself. You’re beautiful and you’ve come this far. Keep going.

So usually when I'm upset, I'll snap a rubber band on my wrist. Last night, I was feeling fat but I couldn't find a rubber band so I found something sharp. I think I might be on the way to cutting but don't want people to see the scars. What should I do? I need something to ease the tension in my chest.

May I ask you exactly what upsets you to such an extthree that makes you feel this way?
It’s my personal opinion that even snapping rubber band on your wrist is a form of self harm. Using something sharp to replace that is also in my opinion, a way to self harm. Wether it be cutting yourself, hitting yourself, pulling out hair, burning, hitting walls or snapping a rubber band- its not healthy and there are other means to get rid of that tension and overwhelming emotion out; without harming yourself. I encourage you to not continue down destruction. Take it from someone who knows- once you sink in the dark hole, it’s almost impossible to get out.

Try healthier alternatives. Talk to someone you trust. Wheyher it be a therapist, a friend, sibling or tumblr friend. Scream it, yell it, write it down and burn it. Take a step outside and just breathe. Go for a run or jog. Turn on music and dance or jam out. Color or distract yourself with a craft.
Remember that no one deserves to hurt you in anyway. Including yourself. I’m always here if you need to talk.
